Kanika Verma is an Associate at Invest India, India’s National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency. She has completed her bachelor’s degree in economics from Delhi University and her master’s in economics from TERI School of Advanced Studies with a specialisation in environment and resource economics. Kanika has been a part of the Invest India team for over 2 years, working as an expert in the RE and Power team and the Strategic Investment Research Unit. She has worked closely with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy in supporting the Project Development Cell to further help in smoothening India’s investment process and increase the ease of doing business. She has an avid interest in clean energy and sustainable development and has worked extensively in fields of trade, feminist economics, environmental & ecological economics, policy analysis and econometric modelling during her academic career. She has a variety of published reports and editorials under belt, promoting India as an attractive investment destination.
