Rashika Gupta is a Director of IHS Markit and leads Power, Gas, Coal, and Renewables (PGCR) services for South Asia Markets. Dr. Gupta has more than a decade of experience in energy markets and is responsible for PGCR activities in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Her expertise includes economic and policy assessment, power and fuel market analysis, power market modelling, power trading, energy management, regulatory and commercial analysis, and environment policy analysis for Indian and Asia Pacific Power Markets. Dr. Gupta has worked on numerous consulting assignments and commercial projects and had worked with independent power producers, investors, private equity funds, power utilities, energy majors, industrial consumers, and government planning bodies to support them in business and commercial strategy. Prior to joining IHS Markit, she worked with Statkraft Markets, a leading global European company in renewable energy and energy trading, and earlier was with ICF International, a global diversified consulting organization. She holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and attained her master’s and a doctoral degrees in operational research at Delhi University, India.
