IHS Markit is committed to delivering industry-leading thought leadership in a productive and safe environment. In addition to offering content from the 2021 India Energy Forum virtually, IHS Markit is following the World Health Organization (WHO)’s guidance as well as working with local healthcare officials to implement a customized, exceptional in-person event that supports delegates’ health and wellbeing. The Taj Palace’s safety protocols have been developed in accordance with the World Health Organization (WHO), Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and the Government of India. The India Energy Forum’s enhanced cleaning measures, COVID-safe registration checkpoints, and social-distancing protocols prioritizing our delegates’ health are outlined below.

    Prior to arrival, delegates are required to:

    Agree to wear a face covering over both nose and mouth at all times while indoors at the India Energy Forum. 
    Provide proof of full vaccination prior to entering the event, with “full-vaccination” defined as being 2 weeks after the second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines; or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine. 
    Provide proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours prior to event arrival. 
    Complete a Health and Safety Attestation 24 hours prior to the conference affirming to the best of their knowledge the delegate is not exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 and has no known COVID-19 exposures or pending test results.

    To protect our delegates during the event:

    All delegates are required to use a facemask covering nose and mouth at all times.

    Temperature check points are set up upon entry to the venue and a temperature check is required prior to event entry each day. 

    Hand sanitizing will be set up throughout the venue. 

    Hotel staff will also wear masks at all times. 

    Event registration will require minimal touch.
    When possible, meals will be served outdoors and the use of self-serve buffets has been eliminated. 

    Sessions will be held both indoors and outdoors to minimize crowds in all conference areas. 

    A Wellness Centre, staffed by a medical doctor, will be available onsite and open during the event for testing and assessment, if needed. 

    Signs are posted throughout the event reminding delegates to: 

    -Wash and sanitize hands often, especially after interacting with a high-touch surface 

    -Encourage social distancing 

    -Discourage crowding into a single area 

    -Leave the event if they become unwell while at the conference and seek medical attention (available on-site)

    Taj Palace Hotel has implemented the following safety procedures to protect all guests and staff:

    Hotel staff are extensively trained on safety, hygiene, and physical distancing guidelines to ensure guests’ wellbeing and delight.
    Check-in, check-out and dining services are all offered contact-free (if desired). 
    Layouts for seating and guest / staff movement have been altered to enable social distancing in vehicles, lobbies, elevators, banquets, restaurants, service areas and common areas. 
    Surfaces, fittings, fixtures, furniture, equipment, stationery, vehicles, cutlery, crockery, linen and laundry are thoroughly disinfected at regular intervals as well as after each use. 
    Suites and rooms are rested after checkout before reoccupation. Guests and staff are requested to submit health declarations before entering hotels’ premises.
